Rent Your Land performs a high-level feasibility study of your land to assess whether it is suitable for a renewable energy installation. If your land is determined to be suitable, we will issue a commercial Heads of Terms outlining the details of the lease (term, rental income, amount of land required, etc.)
We obtain a formal offer for the electrical grid connection and complete the required surveys and reports. We will then issue the option and lease for the land and submit the planning application.
Once the planning has been accepted and all other necessary consents are granted, we will trigger the option for the lease of the site. From this point on you will be generating revenue from your land through Rent Your Land rental payments.
We complete the final design and begin construction of the renewable energy installation.
We commission the renewable energy asset and hand the project over to our operations and assessment management team.

How much land do I need?
This depends on the type of green technology installed. For a battery site, typically 0.25-2 hectares of land is required. For a solar site, we would need a minimum of 15 hectares.
What are the costs to me?
There would be no costs to you as the landowner. Rent Your Land would pay for all the development costs (planning, grid connections, etc.) as well as any reasonable third-party costs such as a solicitor.
What happens at the end of the lease?
All components are removed and the land is restored to its original condition.
Can I sell the land?
Yes. In fact, the long-term rental income provided by a renewable power project often increases property value, leading to a higher sale price for the land.
